Building independence
WorkSafeBC describes its Home Care Services as helping workers build or regain self-care skills and independence. We take the same approach. We'll help with what you can't do yet and encourage what you can, so you get back to your routine.
Common injuries we support
- Back, neck and shoulder injuries
- Fractures, surgery and joint injuries
- Crush injuries and amputations
- Head injuries that affect balance, fatigue or memory
Talk to your case manager first
Tell them which daily tasks are difficult and ask what support is available. Have your claim number ready when you call us.
We provide non-medical home support. We don't provide nursing care, wound care, injections or medication administration. If you need those, your doctor or Fraser Health Home and Community Care can arrange them, and we can work alongside that care.
Right Move Home Care is an independent private business and isn't part of WorkSafeBC. WorkSafeBC decides what's covered on each claim, so confirm with your case manager before services start.
Common questions
Can I still work with my physiotherapist?
Yes. We don't replace your rehab team. We support daily living at home and follow any instructions you share from them.
What about the Self Managed Personal Care program?
WorkSafeBC says Self Managed Personal Care is closed to new participants. Ask your case manager which options are open to you.
